Hey y’all! I’m Allie! My friends call me Allie Shay!
I’ve always been the play-it-safe girl, but this year I realized you have to go after things you want. At Pinch me, I’m Home, you’ll find a variety of DIY tutorials for home and garden, furniture finds and revamps, pinch worthy designs for LESS, but most importantly, a place to fill your cup with an I CAN mentality. Let’s rebel against boring! Join me as I transform our charming 1950s home into a Grandmillennial home with a hint of glam!
The Kelleys
My sweet husband Thomas and I moved into our new home in February 2021 in Beaumont, Texas, or as the locals call it BMT aka Big Money Texas. We had our second boy ONE WEEK after moving into the house. Keats was welcomed home by his inquisitive, dino loving big brother Haines and four legged doggo brother Arnie. Thomas and I put all the redecorating and renovating on the back burner as we navigated our new life with two under two.
One call changed it all
At this point, I’d been home for three years from the teaching world and still couldn’t shake this feeling that I was missing some type of creative outlet for ME. I was determined to find a way to be a great stay at home mom and let my creative juices flow. God was listening as always because that all changed on September 9, 2021. I received a phone call from my friend Carly. She asked me to dance in the DWTS Junior League Fundraiser Event. (See DWTS for full story). DWTS ignited this fire in me to not be afraid to take a chance.
Then I had an idea…
I designed and built a chic garden fence in my back yard BY MYSELF! This was my first time using power tools, and I loved it! And the projects didn’t stop there! I was having way too much fun!
I’m a strong believer that it’s never too late to start a new adventure. So a Home and Garden BLOG was clearly the next stop, but what would I call it?
All in the name
I was chatting with my good friend Jeni as per usual about life, work, home ideas, etc. I was telling her how I’m finding joy in all this beautiful hard work. The thought of getting to do this all the time, sharing and learning from others, and being at home with my boys on my schedule would be the “dream”…. like seriously pinch me this couldn’t be my real life. I took another chance and Pinch Me, I’m Home was officially created! And Jeni even designed my adorable logo!
What you’ll find at PMIH
I’ll be the first to admit that I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of my family and friends. So it should come as no surprise when they pop in from time to time on a project or two! We all have different talents that need to be shared!
Giving back is very important to me! I’ll be assisting others in various interior design projects. I hope I can be your extra set of hands on your next project! Check out my Let’s Chat page for more information.
At Pinch Me, I’m Home you’ll find a traditional style with a twist. The Grandmillennial aesthetic blends the old with the new. A few common things you’ll spot in this style are monogrammed linens, chinoiserie vases, colorful fabrics and patterns, materials like cane and wicker, and of course some gorgeous antiques. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve put together! Is hunting for treasures your second calling? I’m always in for the thrill of the hunt! Let’s have a girl’s day as we navigate the Estate Sales, resale shops, and of course Facebook Marketplace!
All my DIY tutorials and plans will be available on the website. I made all the mistakes ahead of time, so don’t think twice about trying out something new.
And of course, in true Texas fashion, I’ll be helping you out every step of the way!

At Pinch Me, I’m Home, we provide full service residential interior design and decorating. Our full wallpapering service includes measuring, design and selection, ordering, and installation in your home.
