One Room Challenge: Week 8 Reveal

If you have been following along over the past 8 weeks or just popped in to see what Pinch Me, I’m Home is all about, I’d like to say THANK YOU! A project instantly becomes more fun with you by my side.

During the last week of the ORC, I finished the fireplace! That was a lot of work but I love the way it turned it out.

My friend Kim helped me cut the tile for the hearth extension on the floor and some the surround. We used my friend Haylee’s tile saw and it was very user friendly. If I could go back, I’d definitely get smaller sized tile (24×24 is what I used for the floor) or rent a larger table saw to hold larger pieces. I ran to Home Depot and grabbed new tile for the surround. I like the combination of tile. Sherwin Williams made a custom color match to the floor tile for the fireplace mantel. I used white grout for both tiles and added t-molding around the floor tile. I love the end result.
